Artist's Description
A weathered wooden rowboat with peeling turquoise paint is abandoned on a rocky shore. The gloomy lighting and soft focus give the scene an eerie, mysterious atmosphere.
Old abandoned wooden rowboat, Stonington Harbor, Hancock County, Deer Isle, Maine.
I was always a big fan of the early Hollywood portrait photographers like Clarence Sinclair Bull and George Hurrell who used special lenses designed for soft focus like the Wollensak Veritos to create their dreamy, glamorous images of stars like Greta Garbo, Theda Bara, Mary Pickford, Jean Harlow and Hedy Lamarr.
This image was created with one of those lenses adapted to use on a 35mm digital camera.
Great gift for Boyfriend, Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Grandfather.
