Description
A long exposure captures the motion of water flowing over dark, textured rocks, creating a misty and ethereal effect. The monochromatic tones add a dramatic and timeless quality to the scene.
I actually shot this on Kodak Plus-X film in the late 80's on the coast of Maine.
I used a 10" Wollensak Veritar and bellows for focusing on a Hasselblad 2000FC.
The Veritar is a soft focus lens mainly used for portraits and pictorial style landscapes from the early 1900's through the 1940's.
I also shot with a slow shutter speed, probably around 1 second, maybe a bit longer, to get the blurred effect in the water.
I printed this a few times in the darkroom 30+ years ago using Agfa Portriga Rapid paper which had a cream colored base and warm image tone so I replicated the effect here when I processed the scan.
I recommend picking one of the matte paper options for this image
