Artist's Description
Part of a collection of tools that my Uncle picked up somewhere which had been painted red by a previous owner.
Maybe the guy was tired of people walking off with his tools or maybe he really, really, really like the color red.
Who knows?
My Uncle certainly found them interesting enough to have bought them.
Three red hammers with varying degrees of wear and rust are aligned vertically against a weathered blue wooden background. The paint on the wood is peeling, suggesting the materials have been exposed to the elements for some time.
